Cutting out to high guard from guard
1. Break their grip on your belt, if possible.  Ideal grip for you is 2-on-1: same side wrist, opposite side monkey grabbing bicep.

2. With guard closed, sit up, secure grips, pull towards ceiling then towards you while begining to fall.

3.  While falling, release grip on the sleeve, shoot hand across their back and into the armpit or shoulder.  Keep bottom leg mildly pinched around his waist.  Rotate into him slightly.  You should land fairly lightly on the outside of your shoulder/upper arm.

4. (if possible, simultaneously with 3)  While bottom leg is pinching, climb the top leg up his shoulders to keep his posture broken down.  Should be able to apply 'hip pressure' by pointing belly button to the floor.

Collar choke from high guard
5. Keeping the outside hand firmly hooking the armpit, reach the other hand up and loosen the collar.

6. Remove the outside hand from the armpit, shooting it past the face to grab the far collar, thumb in.

7. ***Pinch the top elbow into the knee; this is what creates the pressure.  Thrust hips in.

8. Reach across with the free hand to the opposite shin to increase the pressure.  (or push down on the head)

Sweep to Armbar from high guard
5. Post elbow far away from them.  Turn down to mat, nipples on the mat if possible, to be as heavy as possible.

6. Keeping the outside hand firmly hooking the armpit, reach the inner one across the mat to hook the far elbow, pulling it towards you.

7. As you pull the elbow towards you, twist into him hard with your hips.  The combo will lay him on his back, with you in S-mount.  Keep a grip on that far elbow!

8.  Use the free hand to get a grip on his near wrist, swing your leg over his head, and armbar the near arm.  You can keep the other elbow gripped almost the whole time to really maintain control.
