Little Bits of News from Kristen
My laptop is still dead. It’s at HP getting fixed after getting sent in to the Computer Center Services Desk at college. I should have it back by August. I’ve lost everything I had on there: music, pictures, A.O.E. and ASCE things I needed. My school files were backed up in early May or late April, and I really hope I didn’t wipe that disc I backed them up on. George bought an external hard drive and I’ve been thinking about doing that too. Would save me from future problems like this.
I had a two week free trial of Netflix from Emilie (thanks E!). Only got to nine movies, and out of those Love Actually and Fun with Dick and Jane were the best. It tempted me to sign up for Netflix for a few moments, until I realized that I would rather spend that money on something else.
Two boys from Norway arrive tomorrow. They are staying three days. I’m getting stuck with them just like last time. They are boys, and 15 years old. Jared should be showing them around Minnesota (he’s their gender and closer in age than I), but he’s getting his Wisdom teeth out Thursday and will be too blah to do anything with them. Grr. I’m excited about having them here though.
I’m still cleaning bits and pieces of my house, though it’s going slower now that I am working again. The Green Room (so named for the colour of the carpeting) was cleaned, and it’s where George has been staying. The scouts will stay there too, as George is temporarily moving in with my brother.
The only other bit of news that I have is tomorrow is the nine month anniversary of George and I. Yay, us. Hopefully, we will keep things together and not let them get bad again.
