Huge Picture Post. I mean it.

Some of you all might be wondering where I have been. Well, I've been high up in some misty mountains chillin' at giant a japanese resort, hot springz, buddhist temples, watching belly dancers and eating black eggs.......and mostly shopping.

This is me singing along to Journey's "Seperate Ways."

On Saturday we went to a Japanese Ryokan which features luxurious traditional Japanese-style lodging, hotsprings and, on a clear day, boasts one of the most beautiful views of mount fuji....as well as drunken, rowdy foreigners.

Eli looking rather trilled about dinner. Me looking demonic as usual.

I hope you like meat...and I hope you like paying a ton of money to cook your own dinner.

Just take a loot at Bryce's face.

Someone encouraged our hostess to get blasted.

Thumbs up, gaijin!

Oien and I...post bryce burping in my face for falling asleep.

Eli really did have fun that night...but he's not having any my tomfoolery. By the way, he is perched in a closet.

Just make a baby already.

Bryce coming leaping out. of the closet.

Hi-Chu. 150 Yen in the vending machine.

Eli and I performing Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy."

We visited some hot springs that offered hot spring-boiled eggs to those who wish to extend their life expectancy. Legend says that if you eat just one egg boiled in the hot springs there, you will live 7 years longer. I generally try to stay away from any food that is black. Licorice, snakes from india jones, and sulfur-stained hard boiled eggs are just some examples of things I hate....

The next stop on our itinerary is a Buddhist Temple in Hakone, high up in the mountains. Quite exquisite.

A couple days later, a few friends and I went out to a little bar in Shinjuku called Krishuna. The music was incredible.....and the fire/belly dancing that accompanied it was mind-blowingly awesome. Anita and I were invited by the adorable boy with the pomp below to a bbq on the 2nd at one of the belly-dancer's houses. I am so excited.

Anita and I were wandering around some side street that had tiny tiny tiny little bars that used to be used as temporary housing for survivors of bombings in tokyo after the war. The little one-roomed bars sat up to MAYBE 5 people. We found a staircase completely covered in brilliant red shag carpeting that led up to one of those bars.

Wandering around Daikanyama, a hip and upscale fashion shopping district in Tokyo, I found a store completely covered in moss. Each window had some sort of fruit in it, and some windows were covered by mirrors.
