I seriously could eat spicy tuna handrolls forever. (Sushi was my the last supper I ate with Julia inside me. I hit cytotec's fake "transition" and promptly threw it all up into a bucket :P )
I actually prefer crab but their chef uses lobster most of the time, heh.
And I am a freak, but I love imitation "Krab" or whatever it's called? I've never bought it here but I always get it in Buenos Aires. Don't know what it is, but I love it.
Yeah, spicy tuna and salmon skin handrolls would be me in heaven forEVER.
Imitation crab is pollack (a type of fish). The sad thing is, most immitation crab isn't kosher, b/c they add crab essence or something, but pollack IS kosher!
(And the even sadder thing is, why am I still eating only kosher sushi when I've gone non-kosher in much of the rest of my eating habits? Sigh.)
Pollock, right? I am pretty sure pollack is a derogatory slur for Polish people, lol :X
I've had pollock! Doesn't taste as crabby as I'd like it to... maybe it's the crab essence??? Is it like an essential oil? Dab it on your wrists and behind your ears to entice a man? Or a fish? :P
Oh yeah, with the "o" (I changed the spelling a couple of times trying to get my computer to recognize the word...)
I know they can (and do) make it without the crab essence (and kosher) and it takes just like imitation crab, the same. But yeah, I bet the essence makes a little bit of a difference...
I don't think fish would need too much enticement... come to think of it, do men? ;D
<3
No seriously, it does.
(PS: California roll = crab, not lobster... at least, originally, your place might go fancy-schmancy with the lobster.)
PPS: YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!
