A story for the kids

Alright. I've decided it's time to finally update.
Work is going really well. I got Janelle and Amanda hired as hosts and I started training them on Friday night. Hopefully I won't be working so many hours anymore now that we have them, and maybe since we have more hosts we can fire Dani. I just hope they don't work a Fri or Sat night and freak out and go crazy when we get on a two hour wait and they don't have anyone to shadow and have to make decisions on their own. They are the kind of people who quit when things get a little tough. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten them hired, if they quit it'll reflect badly on me. But soon I think I'm getting promoted to runner, and server is the next step! yay tips.
Sean came over on Saturday, told his parents he was spending some time at Jeff's so he could stay the night. We had this really brilliant idea lol. We thought it'd be way cool to take his truck out in the middle of a field and lay in the bed and look up at the stars and yea, stuff like that. In theory, sounds like a great idea right? People around here do it all the time. So at about 9:30 we pack some blankets and pillows and tell my mom we're going to the drive in movies and we'll be back real late. Then we drive down to the gas station and get some snacks. We're all prepared for a nice romantic night, we'd even gone out earlier in the day to find exactly which field we wanted. So we go to the field and entrance to it that we had spotted earlier in the day, and we drive over this little dirt mound to get into the field, and we were so excited. We get a good 20 feet into the field before the truck refuses to go any further forward, or backward.. Oh shit right? Yea. We get out to check how badly stuck we are, and the minute our feet hit the ground we are sinking in sand. Oh shit one more time. So I'm a girl and I freak out a little bit, realizing we are stuck in a field, and it's getting late, and I don't know how the hell to get out of this. And I'm thinking that we are going to have to call my mom and be totally busted for lying and Sean's parents will find out he lied to them to come here and everythign will go to hell. Sean is amazing. He's so cool, he just takes out his phone and calls Jeff to ask what to do and lights a couple cigarettes. I call Velvet and Jessica. I don't why, I knew they couldn't help, but I figured they should know I'm stuck in a field haha. So Jeff and his dad tell us we need to dig out the tires and find rocks to put behind them. It's getting pretty late and we don't have much rock finding light but I manage to find the only 5 rocks in the entire field. So we kiss and start digging (mostly with our feet because of course we have nothing to dig with), laughing at what we've gotten ourselves into. We put the rocks behind the tires and decide our best bet would be to back all the way out and back to the street because their is a good 6 miles of sand in front of us and only 20 feet to the back. Sean gets in the truck and I stay out to watch the tires. The tires spin on the rocks. Attempt one, FAILED.
Now we've been in the field almost an hour, and it's just past 11. We decide our first attempt failed because the rocks weren't far enough under the tires. Sean digs some more under the tires so we can slide the rocks further, and I just stand there watching him, thanking God my boyfriend is so strong and unbelievably hot. We try this again, tires spin on the rocks, you can smell the rubber. Second attempt, FAILED.
Now it's about 11:30 and Jeff and Sean have come up with the idea of using the floor mats behind the back tires. Sean: "We use the floor mats as LAST resort". Me: "Baby we have too". Sean: "Okay....I want new Metallica ones anyhow". lol. So we dig some more, well mostly Sean digs. And we place the floor mats behind the tires. We try this another time. We get about 10 feet back before we are stuck yet again. But that 10 feet, that gave us hope. Third attempt, FAILED.
So now we are going to dig some more and do what we just did again and hopefully we will be out of this. As we are putting the floor mats back in place, this lady in a white SUV stops and asks us if we need help. She offers to try and pull us out, and goes home for some rope. Sean and I continue with the floor mats and we get another 5 feet back. Remember in the beginning how I told you when we entered the field we had to go over this little like dirt mound? Well yea that's about 3 feet, and we are backed up into it, Sean's tailpipe is a little over an inch above it. We are screwed worse than we were an hour earlier, just when we thought we'd made progress. The irony is we are about 5 feet from the street and less than a mile from home. A cop drives by, shines his light on us, and keeps going. Guess nothing is strange about 2 kids standing with a truck in a field at midnight. The lady comes back with this like tie down thing. We hook it up and she pulls, the truck starts to move and the tie down breaks. Attempt four, FAILED.
Sean finds some rope in his truck and we try that, we even double it for strength. She backs up, truck starts to move, and SNAP! Attempt five, FAILED.
No words for how stuck we are this point. It's been more than 2 hours. We blame the stars for getting us into this mess. We decide our only option at this point is AAA. I call them. We sit in the truck waiting for them, my head on Sean's shoulder, and we laugh at everything we've gotten ourselves into and make jokes about how we could use a Dodge right about now. Funny thing, Sean's truck is a new Dodge Ram. The truck shows up and in less than 5 mins we are out of the ditch. We drive the mile back to my house and make up some bullshit story to tell my mom. Then we shower because we are very dirty. We come to the conclusion that it's a story for the kids.
The next day we do some grocery shopping and stop by to see Velvet. We eat some lunch, pick up Claire, do some other stuff, and go to dinner at Applebees. Sean's parents say he can spend the night at "Jeff's" again, we get all excited. Oh and on the way to Applebees we saw this guy try and kill himself, thought I'd throw that in there. Sean left this morning. I miss him so much, my bed seems big and I can still smell him. His half empty No Fear drink is sitting on my desk, reminding me of last night.
I have today and tomorw off of work, I never have this much time off. Free time? Whats that? Warped tour on Friday!!! Hell yeah. Maybe I'll update once more in the next month.
