Another weekend away....another good laugh..Leicester gig with the Peacocks and the Hyperjax and lotsa other bands. Although the turn out left something to be desired we made our own fun with alcohol and a Wally instigated clothing swap.
As the routine goes we show up a little late, grab the rest of the gang(which included our special guests Miss Mahab and Shiraz-you go girls)check into our B&B's and its down to the pub. And in unsusual fashion we only stayed for one drink and it was off to the venue which was well... full of bands and a few party goers. After a few more sunk and a few more bands a rush of inspiration took Wally by surprise and it was off to the loos all seven of us to swap clothing. Have you ever seen the Hyperjax's fine sets of gams. Well those in Leicester are blessed with the priviledge. In fact some even got more on view...hmm mm Bob. Finally the gig got going and the Hyperjax took to the stage. Sam as a singing nurse,Wal topless and in a little black pleated number and Bob in a hiked up leopard print skirt and his biker boots. And us girls left to swoon at the side of the stage swimming in their unusually large jeans. And the crowd began to dance. Yippeee! I think the beer had kicked in for all of us by then and as the night progresses things haze a bit...BOB. A bit more music and a few drinks later we were off with delusions of grandeur including an actual cab home (yeah right) and a continued nite of debauchery. Instead we had a long walk to the B&B guitars in tow, a kebab, and a stumble straight into bed- but still a good laugh. And unfortunately we were up at 8 for breakfast served by Doris Carlof not minus her cheeky comments on how we must've had too much to drink that night and then back to the venue to be reminded of the night in question and retrieve the gear. Now it's time to giggle with the husband about the photographic butt-cheek flashing and how interesting life is when you hafta piece the nights back together.
