Update on the happenings

I've been busy since the concert. Quite busy. I got new sandals (a very difficult task indeed). They're pretty AND relatively comfortable - just can't get any better than that. I feel like such a shopaholic after my raid of LaSenza (across 2 days) and the shoes - i've got to cut myself off before I become one of those people who *has* to shop to prevent seizures or whatever they use as an excuse. I'm crazy.. but not that crazy.

Tuesday was lots of fun - Chris, Adam, Michelle and I went to the beach in Port Stanley. The sand was frickin' hot, but fun was had nonetheless. You can't have a bad time at the beach... unless there's a freak thunderstorm or you get heat stroke... but neither of those happened, and there was much merriment instead. And I think my frisbee flinging is improving... now if only I could get that direction thing down... TO THE BEACH!!!

Oh, I also started training for working at the distress centre on Tuesday. I feel like such a brainer cuz I know most of the stuff we're talking about already from all the psych courses i've taken. But I enjoy being the brainer, so it's cool. There's a lot of secrecy involved too - stuff I can't tell anyone outside of the centre *shifty eyes*, so i feel all special :D

And Wednesday was full of fun and pain. Chris and I went canoeing all afternoon - aaaalllll afternoon. We got on the water at about 1pm and didn't reach the pick up point till about 7pm... Needless to say it wasn't supposed to take that long. The water level was really low at a lot of points, so we kept getting stuck. Not fun. But the parts where we weren't stuck.. or being attacked by trees (he he he).. were beautiful and exciting. We saw much wildlife and fish tried to attack our canoe. It was all quite exciting. But we're both sooooooo sore. I think my butt got it the worst. Hopefully after a few more nights of sleep we'll recover.

And on Thursday we went to the pitch & putt with Chris' grandmother... and I sucked as usual - but Chris got a 2 on the last hole (70 yards, par 3). He kicked butt!

Most importantly, I spent hours and hours outside 3 days in a row and have yet to get a horrible sunburn. Sunblock is my new god.

Until next time,
Keep it fresh and breezy!
