(no subject)
So going to my dad's yesterday was almost as shitty as I thought it would be.
I really enjoyed seeing my dad and my aunts and my dad's girlfriend, and playing with my aunt's Nikon 40D. I did NOT enjoy getting in a fight with my uncle about politics and abortion rights. Don't get me wrong, I like to debate with reasonable people about things like that, but with my uncle... the phrase "YOU'RE WRONG." comes up a lot. He's such a fucking child. When we all tried to change the subject and stop talking about controversial stuff, he'd keep saying "it's because you're pro-choice" to try and get me going. It was the most childish display of pathetic conservative horseshit... argh. I'm getting angry again just thinking about it.
Anyway, whatever.
My dad and Sherri are supposed to be coming to London the week after Thanksgiving to see me and Dave. We'll see if that happens. I would like it, that's for sure. Maybe I'll make a turkey.
I'm getting my hawk tattoo finished this week, finally. My tattoo artist is back in town for a little while, after being in Europe all summer. Finally gonna get this thing done. I'm sick of people looking at it, and then having to say "Oh, it's only half done."
A week until Dave and I get to move into the new place! Yes! We cleaned a bunch today to get ready for moving, and we were window shopping online for new tables/bistro sets. We're also going to have to get a futon for the second bedroom/rec room. Ahhh I can't wait... this is going to be our new home for awhile! It'll be equally our place. This place right now still feels like MY apartment, even though he lives here now. So it'll be nice to get into the other place and have a fresh start together. I'm really going to miss this apartment though. I love this place.
By the way, pretty sure the auburn is happening this week. :)
