missing link.

When I was 17 years old, someone who was very special to me for a long time loaned me a book called "Catcher in the Rye." I was going through the worst year of my entire life, mentally and emotionally, and she handed me the book, and told me that the last line of the book reminded her of me. She thought it would really resonate with me and help me get through the madness and desperation I was going through.

The last line of the book was "Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody."

It was one of the most touching, special moments in my life, and I will never forget it, or her.

RIP J.D. Salinger. You shone a dim light through the hearts of a lot of lost souls.
