wild, wild Steeltown nights...

It got pretty crazy at work tonight. I mean, the bands sucked (it was some Thornly/Nickleback bullshit, for some TOTALLY weird reason... no idea who the hell booked that crap... brought in a lot of money though, disgustingly), but the bar itself was ridiculous. Ha. I have a feeling I'm in for some pretty wacky nights ahead of me. Things got saucy. Yes saucy. The north end just got a whole lot saucier. And some old stoner punk named Bo gave me a bunch of weed for free. And Ric is calling my ass a "shitter" for some reason (apparently it's what country western men call a woman's ass, tear of endearment, yadda yadda yadda). And for some reason, completely NOT of my doing, there is now a running joke among a few people (including my boss, who is a man) that I'm going to fuck my boss in the ass with a strap-on.

Wacky people, wacky night. Totally fun. Biff and Johnny came by to hang out with me for a bit, Johnny left after a half hour or so but Biff stayed and we gooshed some beers once I was done my shift. Tomorrow morning there is probably going to be a photo on the internet somewhere of someone at the hem of my skirt trying to catch a ball of weed they put down the front of my dress. Bahaha. Oh god. :/

Dave made me feel so good about myself tonight. I've never sang for him before, but we're working on sexy bluesy garage songs with Beef right now (we've put Black Math/the punkmetal shit aside for now because that's not really what's inspiring any one of us right now) and I'm singing so I wanted to show Dave some of the stuff I've recorded and see what he thought. He listened to a bunch of it while I was at work and he texted me telling me that I had "boner voice" and he was really impressed (he is hard to impress, it makes me nervous) and loved my voice. He was kind of... gushing a little bit! OH MAN. So much weight off my shoulders. It made me feel INCREDIBLY good because I tend to be very shy about my singing voice around most people for some reason even though I know I can sing. And seriously, Dave is so hard to impress with art/music stuff, so I was really intimidated about him hearing me sing. BUT YEAH. Cool beans.

Tomorrow night is the Fog show at work, that's gonna be a fucking shitshow and a half, with the Fog boys, Chris coming down from Toronto, Johnny, Biff if it rains and his bud's bbq gets cancelled... sick tokes, brah!

Tokes and the Tubes, good way to end my night.

Oh and can I just say that I am extremely stoked but green-with-envy at the same time of devil eyes??? FUCK they rip my face off, so hard, but the envy part is because they are EXACTLY what Dave and I were trying to do when we were doing Charlie Sheen. Fuckers! But goddamn they are good as hell.

friends, music, band stuff, shitty nights, this ain't hollywood, fun
