I am really, really going to miss hanging out at Holly and Ryan's once I move.
Saturday evening Dave and I went over there for dinner + more.
The night started off with Holly's delicious homemade guacamole and tortilla chips, and we picked our soundtrack for the night (every time we go there we all pick cds to go in the 5-disc rotary and put it on random. Usually we pick two rounds if we're there for an extended amount of time): new Yeah Yeah Yeahs, new Metric, The Damned, The Replacements, The Stooges, The Cramps, etc.
They made this delicious oil-dressing caesar salad, and cooked up beef tenderloins and king crab legs. We drank a ton of wine, played a bunch of poker (which us gals DOMINATED at: the first game came down to I think Holly and I, and Holly won, the second time it came down to the both of us again and I won!), had a Holly vs. Ryan shot competition to see who made the best shots (it was Holly by a longshot), then Dave and I tried our hand at it and I think mine was retardedly strong haha. We all went to the basement and dug into the tickle trunk for awhile and made ourselves hideously beautiful.
And then, once we were all properly wasted, we decided to play "Beyond Balderdash" haha. Yeah, great idea for a bunch of drunk idiots. I actually really love that game though!
It was a really fun night, like I said I'm going to miss them.
Luckily, they are some of the few friends of mine that actually do drive, so I imagine I'll be seeing them more than once a year haha. They're still going to come down with Jeff for Movie Night From Hell: Hamilton Road Trip editions. Yeah!
Thursday night I went to Mia's to celebrate Kori's birthday. A bunch of us hung out there for awhile drinking and doing whatever, and then went to the Black Shire Pub for Thom's night "Shake Appeal". It was my first time going to SA since he started having them at the BS Pub, and it was kind of a bad first impression because it was SO busy that I was getting anxious. But everyone seemed to be having a good time. Jess bought me a couple of rank shots and I decided that I have to stop being such a shot monster because it usually ends up making me feel sick and then have a 10x worse hangover the next day, which I really don't need. No more shots! At least not as often. Ugh. What am I, in fucking college? I can't do that shit anymore...
Oh who am I kidding. I can't quell the party monster. Luckily she only comes out once in awhile...
I don't believe in celebrating Easter so this weekend wasn't all that special for me, especially since I don't have a job to get a holiday from, haha. My mom used to always make a turkey dinner though (I think she still does, for the old ladies in our family), because any excuse to make a turkey is good enough for my mom! I wish I got a turkey dinner this year, that's my favourite meal. Mmmm turkey.
Instead, I spent the day/night watching: The Perfect Man (Hilary Duff/Heather Locklear, hahaha), A Haunting on Sorority Row (loved it! so cheese), Hot Shots (Charlie Sheen > Jesus), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Trainspotting. Apparently Easter is a rad time for movies on tv.
Emotions have been stable lately. Won't talk about that a whole lot. I've been feeling a bit better. Still haven't really wanted to leave the house much though... and I'm sleeping a LOT. Like a lot, a lot. Except, only at really fucked up times during the day. Bah.
My skin is really bugging me out lately. I think it's because I haven't been getting a lot of sun, but my cheeks are all dry and my face is kind of spotty looking in some areas. AND my chin is breaking out like MAD. What the fuck?
13 days til Jamaica.
