Fun insane weekend
Well, VD has come and gone. I bought my wife a present and helped my daughters buy her presents and my wife .... did nothing. She got up late, opened her presents then went back to bed. I got up with the girls, then took them to the YMCA. I did my workout , then picked up my older daughter from "Kids stuff" and she and I did the family Drums Alive class. Then picked up the younger daughter and went out to eat. When we got home, my wife was still in bed. So I put the 3 year old down for nap and took the 8 year old with me to go get her some new shoes. AFter wandering the stores for probably too long (2.5 hours later) I went home and my wife was... in bed... still. I got my daughter up and finally went and kicked my wife out of bed. She complained about being tired, but finally got out of bed when both my daughters climbed into the bed and pestered her. I made supper and we all ate, then I played with the girls and then put them to bed. My wife was sucked into the tv and was ignoring me and everything else, so I went to bed alone. She stayed up late (She wasn't tired, hmm) and didn't want to get up on Sunday morning either.
What a total disaster of a valentines day. Heck, what a waste of a weekend! My wife did NOTHING, and I did everything.
On a different note, I took my kids and ran 4 miles, did drums alive, swam for an hour, and played basketball for an hour. I went shopping, made meals and took care of the kids all by myself all weekend! I feel great from all the workouts and eating healthy. I did no laundry, no computer work, and stayed focused on my kids.
