Not enough time on my grubby little hands

I don't know what I was thinking but I went on a shopping spree lately for cheap books and movies, when I know that HP:DH is coming out tonight and that a majority of my free time will be spent on that over the next week or so.

I was hoping that WWII DVD would be on netflix, but no such luck. It looks interesting, though.

Where is a good place to start with Star Wars books? I read one and liked it.. and want to go back to catch up on the major stuff I missed

Timothy Zahn's books are a good starter. His Heir to the Empire/Thrawn trilogy is very well written and has a really good plot. He then followed it up with three more books (2 of which are sequels and 1 is a prequel) that are good followup reads. Zahn's latest book, Alliance is a great post SW:ANH/pre SW:ESB read.

James Luceno's Labyrinth of Evil, a prequel to SW:RotS, sets the tone for the movie and adds a lot of background info on some of the events that take place in Episode 3 and answers some questions lingering from the end of Episode 2. Dark Lord:The Rise of Darth Vader kinda ties up some loose ends from SW:RotS and has a decent storyline.

Michael Reeves Shadow Hunter:Darth Maul is a really good set up to Episode 1 and is fast paced with a really good story, although the events in the movie kinda spoil some of the action since you know certain things are going to happen in the film. But still interesting read.
