I know I should have been girl reporter and jotted down notes and stuff but damnit I wanted to actually listen and enjoy myself.. but I am remembering a bit more info from the SAG event Q&A with Hugh Laurie.

Thanks so much for writing it all down for us! Very interesting stuff. Just how fannish was the audience? Did your husband they scream like 12 year old girls, or was it all very adult and such?

Actors of all ages...Fannish in the actor way-curious about his creative process and practical questions about auditioning and production. Somebody (well it was a friend of mine from my jazz class) thanked him for "raising the bar" on TV shows. Some of the audience hadn't even seen House but knew Hugh from other work. Others just come to these events to learn about the biz. It was a very appreciative group. We gave a him a standing ovation at the end of the Q&A and he (traditionally) applauded us back. And my husband really liked hearing him, he's a fan of the show too. It was a great time- like date night for us. :)
