New Deals and New Feels... no, honest!

Feb 28, 2009 20:18

My little sisters are currently talking about my smoking habits and how unhealthy they are in french. If it weren't for the similarities of certain sounds (cardio-vascular, fume, etc), I wouldn't know. As it is, I turned around and asked "how do I say 'I know, and don't care'?" Being helpful and loving siblings, they told me. Being a fool masquerading as a gentleman, I listened, nodded, thanked them, and promptly forgot. German, russian, and a smattering of french and japanese is enough for me right now, ta...

...As you can see, I'm in a mood to reveal my bastardy, but hey, it's not all doom and gloom. For example, I, out of many other dissatisfied jobseekers, was actually happy with the New Deal meeting. After all, my travel money got refunded, and the Jobcentre has effectively offered to actually be *helpful* for a change (instead of "well done, you looked for work, here's some money, bugger off").

Hehe... my sisters are both now singing about drugs and how cheap they are in welsh. It was quite beautiful, really. And my sister Branwen seems to think she can't sing. Liar! *grins* Singing in perfect harmony with Bethan, one of my other sisters (and one of the two really cool ones... both of whom I've mentioned in this post)

Anyway, the only real downsides to my month so far have been my singleness (grr, it makes me so... damn... damn... *sobs and breaks down* fecking EMO! [cue gasps of horror]), and the fact that my artwork has recently sucked.

My sisters are wonderfully full of opinions. They both think sex is disgusting. And guys have really ugly bits. This last bit is true. The former claim is debatable, and more a matter of taste...

Hehe... ah, the reason this entry is so damn long, and I'm waffling? Simple... mum and rhys are out for the weekend. Woohoo!

Ah, the work hunt continues, and I continue to wait for the results of my Graphics Card test (my Graphics Card, which I won, took a while to arrive, and was broken, seemingly, on arrival... confirmation of this is coming, I'm almost certain!), while working on my OU stuff... did I mention I was doing a Bachelors in English Lang/Lit with the OU? If not, I am, I've almost finished my first module, just started my second, and the JobCentre have officially told me it doesn't affect my JSA. SCORE!

Anyway, gotta run, there's some quality boredom I have to attend to, and then there's Death Note to enjoy (Film4, so freeview-ness! And it's sub, instead of stupid dub... WOOOOOHHHHHH!)

Oh, before I go, I put some new poems up on FictionPress (under Jamie Thomas Durbin, read my schizzle, bizha-hootch-ess-es!), so enjoy!
