Check-Raises and Blasters

I was tempted to start playing Magic again for some reason. But I stuck to my guns and held my resolve that I have a new hobby and so today I graduated. No No not that graduation. that was last month (can you believe it?) But I graduated up to 6-12 from 3-6. What does this mean you might ask. It means that I've become good enough at poker that I bet more money per round in an attempt to push out the wild players that have given me the most amount of difficulty. I was a little worried at first. I saw a check-raise in the first pot I was involved in and folded like a cheap suit. Of course it worked out cause the guy had the better hand but that's a move you don't see much at 3-6 and I was scared. A few hands later I felt a lot better about my chances as my chip stack was a great deal larger than it had been when I got there. Thank god for that 7 on the river that gave me the bigger boat. That was some good luck. After that I just out played those timid-loose players as not one of my stone-cold bluffs got a single call. It's nice to be able to do that. Bluffing isn't something that you can do much of at a 3-6 level. Everyone calls everything. I do feel a bit bad for that nice asian fellow on my left. He seemed to have a vendetta agasint me that ended up really hurting him all game. When you lose your whole stack in less than an hour against one player it might be time to learn to check your anger at the door.

Alright for those of you who aren't poker fans there's also this...
