(no subject)
Yesterday:
Went to class 10 minutes late. The prof makes me and some other dude walk up to the front of the room and sit in the middle two seats. She then lectures us about how she wants class to start on time and blah blah blah. Two others walk in and it's all good. 5 minutes later 3 more people and that's all good too. gets better. She throws us bias data about how half the world lives on $2 or less a day and I ask if that isn't misleading since $2 in Borneo or somewhere is worth quite a bit more. THAT didn't go over well. More leading data that seems to try and make you feel guilty about living in the US cause we have the advantages of a stable goverment and Economy. If we were poor we could understand the poor better and help them more. Girl next to me asks the prof where she's getting all this stuff she keeps bringing up about the reading. Prof asks girl if this is her first day in th class. Girl says yes. Prof lectures girl about how the first day she explained about the supplemental readings on-line and how she was supposed to have read it before class. OK one last one. She talks about "Asian Tigers" (countries that had a sustained 8% growth in their GDP in the 90's) and she asked up what changed in those countires, specifically in Korea. I raise my hand and say "Star Craft" yep got the stare down. But really that's a huge factor. I guess she's not a gamer.
Got drunk in one hour. Didn't know I could do that. Who-rar for 4 horsemen.
