I feel similar to this when I talk about work I do too. I just don't discuss it much, unless it's to invite someone to go to an event/field day with me...
I misread the question and thought it was what people 'misunderstand most'. If I had read correctly and saw it asked 'misunderSTOOD' most it would have been that despite being on stage so much and being "on" for work, I was and am a true introvert and when I worked, I "wore" that person like an outfit. It wasn't the real me because I am actually shy and insecure. But On stage, I never showed fear, so noone (save my ex and best friend slabgar)really understood that about me. People just thought I "enjoyed" adoration or attention but that is Very VERY wrong. But that was then. Now, it's for sure that I actually AM a good person and not trying to get 'points'. Why would an Atheist try to 'look' Christianly? Just because my ACTIONS are moreso that the supposed religious folk don't look at me, look at yourself (not you, the general 'self'...you know how I feel bout you;)) not me. It REALLY says something that someone that doesn't even believe in an afterlife "Does under Others" because it's moral and ethical and not because the Bible tells me so
