Wrote this in an IM conversation. Was suggested it was circulation worthy.
also - someone needs to write into the moon or something that being vague to seem 'mysterious' or 'attractive' is all well and good, but it only works if a) you've already made it clear to the other person / made them believe, u r interested in them, or b) you haven't but they are chronically set on summising that themselves. Doing it without either of those in place and you come across as any of; cold, stand-off-ish, only interested in you as an best-worse-option alternative to their own company/fingers, not wishing to state directly they are uninterested for undisclosed reasons, or down right CONFUSING.
I could probably easily expand that out further to cover all the problems said tactic creates, but I think I'll leave it to stand as is.
Seriously, if 'The Doctor' can occasionally decide rather than just fixing other's messes in time, he can fix time itself, why shouldn't I be able to fix communication?
