(no subject)
A while back we got us a new dining table and 4 chairs. Of which the chairs have been stored unused in the spare room for now due to the covered seats been worn and moldy and generally gross. Whatever the previous owners did, it even caused the furniture studs to corrode.
Well I've just finished stripping down and cleaning up the first chair. :D We did start with both me and Emm doing it, but either mold spores or dust from the padding made her hav to run to the bathroom to throw up. D:
Annoyingly it's proving to be a slow and tiring task as whoever installed the coverings intended them to survive millenia - insane concentration of staples! The evil thing even managed to break one of my nails despite wearing workgloves. *grr* But hopefully we should get throu the other 3 chairs in the next few days.
