So, Exciting things have been happening recently.
My final show was utter chaos. I didn't expect there to be so many people there. it was, of course, the 3rd year shows too so i expected a good turnout but just. not...that many o_o.
I was near hyperventilating many times and was glad to be out of there when we got out. I was pretty upset too, I'm not sure why. I think the sheer amount of people really spazzed my head out. We ended up going to the pub instead of rock world then bed early.
that was a mildly exciting thing. the real exciting thing that has happened this last week is I have got a job ^__^
It is no ordinary job, OHNO!, because i win so damned much I have been given a job as an ART TEACHER. :D
I am now working at rivington park independent as the art teacher teaching years 2 to 10 (GCSE) I am picking up the pieces of an utterly abysmal art teacher who has basically been taking the piss for the past 12 months and has been sacked because of it.
I am on a months trial, till the end of term, and then we will review and if the head likes me enough and i like it enough then i will be teaching next year too.
It's only part time, so i will be able to work it in with my course. WHAT AN ACE JOB I HAVE.
This week is my first week, and so far have discovered that none of the children can
-draw
-know anything about tone
-have never even made a colour wheel
have no concept of art history
-have used acrylic paints, not even the year 10s.
I have my work cut out, especially with the year 10's cause they should have done about 2 topics already by now and have done precisely shit all and the shit all they've done is of crap quality.
but yeah. I am being PAID to influence young minds. PAID TO WARP THE NEXT GENERATION. I keep bursting into hysterical manic laughter at the thought of it.
