Music
-Long 1/4ish notes/chords are the line-gesture / initial-values of a melody.
-If you're really bored and want to work on some tunes but have no motivation, go read IDMforums for a bit, The Studio in particular.
-Make some samples and polish them for use. Stop being such a synth whore- any sort of awesome sound you get out of making a synth and piling on the VSTs is going to kill your computer.
-Take some simple quick hit and fill up the entire step sequence with it, and then find out what FLStudio can do to make it vary and get a rotating rhythm to it (velocity, panning, cut, etc)
-The music style you're looking to emulate in Coalesce needs metal guitar chords. Study your guitar more :P
-Start with 16 steps instead of 4, or try to get out of 4 or 8 as fast as possible.
Health:
-Stop pushing back your rib cage, it's causing a kink in your spine at the lumbar region which can travel to between the scapulas if you try to incorrectly fix it by rotating the pelvis/ribs. This kink then causes your lower back & pelvis to tighten up and fuck up any natural motion your skeletal system wants. If the kink shifts upward then it causes general shoulder/back/neck tension instead. Tension in the lower stomach might be causing this pullback?
-Start working out again, stop waiting for shit to be "fixed". If anything shit's breaking because general tension and stress isn't being released like it would if you were weight lifting again. It also gets rid of the blues damn fast. Take as much time as necessary in the gym until you're lifting properly, no small 30 minute sessions allowed.
Drawing:
Subtle changes in cool/warms is the extra bit of portraying form that most fancy-ass-grayscales-first-type artists miss. When this is used right with good values it makes you look like a fucking badass. Examples are phil hale and Sargent.
Game Note Masturbation:
Typical solo FPS/third person type game happening during a major crisis. Player is mostly isolated except for a pirate radio signal in which the "DJ" communicates to and basically takes care of the player. I've always liked that mysterious quality to a supportive character who is only represented with voice, and then you finally meet and something dramatic happens. If the voice actor is any good, the meeting is usually somewhat disappointing because in your mind you've already decided the best look for them- that's why you gotta kill them off quick I guess :P
Misc:
"An artist defines his own craft whereas a craftsman is defined by his art"
