I love where I work. I love the work I do. It makes me feel great and it gives me a deeper understanding of what those people on the other end go through for their fan base and customers and dedicated peoples who purchase and play with their products. To anyone who straight on complains, you'll never appreciate or grasp the scope of the things they go through. Sure, they change things on some stuff (a slight side deviation, I remember when Vampire the Requiem came out and people bitched about it non-stop. I was one of those who complained a bit. Given the things I've seen and what I've read, the complaints were without warrant and I actually like the new system now. I still like the old one, but the new one is just as good in my eyes) but that doesn't mean that they do it to accomodate a certain group or because, as one person said, "to allow those who play vampire to have cyber sex much easier" or anything like that. I find that ridiculous and unfounded. Hell, they don't even make these systems for online roleplay use. Neither the old WoD or new WoD were made to deal with such. The WoDs were and are made to be used on tabletop, surrounded by friends. If you put it online, then yes, people are gonna do a lot of things different and you'll most likely have a differing view of what it is than what it -should- be. Don't get me wrong, I love roleplaying online, but really, to call a system on something because its different than what you're used to is a little crazy... unless what you're saying is bluntly and specifically on pen and paper from the company itself stating something that, yeah, pretty much anyone and everyone would and should not have in their game, then ok, complaint is probably warranted.
Oh, and as a special treat? Here are links to a person's char. sheet from online roleplay. I hope you enjoy how incredo-diculous it is, just as much as I did.
http://www.minoguetech.com/members/CrimzonTearz/Etrius.html Yes, THAT is what floats around in some roleplaying spaces. It makes me shed a tear of laughter everytime I see it. Anyway, I think that's my update.
