Yesterday was awesome. I bought Xtreme X-Men #16, A pack of Mini-Mates half-off (Basically Lego people. I bought yellow costume DareDevil and Elektra, and can I just say, ELEKTRA'S PAINT JOB SUCKS.) Chobits #4, Tokyo Mew Mew #1 and Sailormoon Volume 3 on DVD. I also went on a rabid search for Uncanny X-Men #350, to no avail.

Then Dad took me our for lunch, then Mum took me to Kalan Porter

Our seats were good. But GOOD GOD THERE WERE TONS OF KIDS THERE. LIKE 5 to 10 YEARS OLD.

The opening act was a guy named Jeremy Fisher (He's quite good. I'm listening to his CD now. He's like if John Mayer and Seth Cohen [from The O.C.] had a kid.) He was acoustic.

Then, then Kalan Porter came on. And wow. I was expecting Kalan Porter: balladeer not Kalan Porter: ROCKSTAR. And good god, did he rock. He played his VIOLIN for a few minutes and then rocked out. There was loads of screaming.

He played two hard songs, then a soft one, then mostly harder songs.

He was touching his (MALE) lead guitar player loads throughout.

He played loads of covers (House of the Rising Sun, Surrender [by Cheap Trick], Let's Dance [by David Bowie. Ironic, eh?], Old Man [by Neil Young], NATURE BOY, BORN TO BE WILD AND THE DEVIL WENT DOWN TO GEORGIA [And can I just say, NO ONE is supposed to look that good in a cowboy hat])

Basically I can sum up the concert like this
BEFORE:
What the hell am I doing here? I thought I went to Kalan Porter, not the fucking Wiggles.

AFTER:
EEEEEE! KALANILOVEYOU!!!1111eleventy! I love you my gay little emo (and good god, is he ever emo. He spent two minutes on his knees at one point) rockstar! (P.S. Kalan Porter/Rufus Wainwright OTP! Theirloveissogaycanadian!)

I bought a poster of Kalan (He's holding Charlie glasses [You know from the Lost pilot he's wearing the sort of 80's glasses] and wearing a studded belt.)
