Here's a pic from a story I entirely forgot about 'til I looked through my old comic book idea files:
It's also an idea that's similar to a music video I want to do someday, when Acrasjia has a lot of money to spend on one. The basic idea is that these workers in a factory are working on a product and eventually evolve into the product itself. They start out as humans working on a little, metal box with old-school tools and then they become more cyborg-like, without being cheesy. They also start melding together to form one unit. And then in the end there's just a big, metal box in the middle of the that's just like the little one they were working on.
The music video idea (one of the few of mine that would actually have the band in it) would have the four of us playing in a room standing back to back to back to back. As the song went on we would become more cyborg-ish (again, without being cheesy) and we would be melding together with each other and our instruments. We would almost be like those creepy robots at Chuck E. Cheese where you can see and hear all the gears and stuff that make them work. By the end of the video there would just be some type music playing lying in the middle of the room playing the song. I think it could be pretty cool.
Anyway, back to the comic, I like the idea of it, but I think if I did the comic I'd have to rework some of the 'camera' angles. Basically, each page was going to be a different step in the workers 'evolution' and the pages would be laid out exactly the same except that the workers and environment would change. By the end of the story the room would have clean, stark white walls instead of looking like a grimy, cement-built factory. Just one of my million ideas.
