It's not everyday that:
a cement truck 'has my back' on the road,
I get to eat KFC & chocolate ice cream (thanks chelsea)
I see Mr. Walstein in short shorts $-{
I watch my mistakes refilled, realigned, and repaired to new,
I quiet a room full of conversation with my singing/guitar,
I have a rowdy game a chess with a physics nut with a funny name (Moose, Xing)
I win ~$7 off someone (two different ways)*
I reconnect with old friends, if only for a while.
I wake up on a Tuesday at noon, not sick, when school's in, and have no qualms whatsoever. (also twice)
*#1: I met these dudes Hiro and Yin from Newton North at Science Bowl, at again at ARML, and we went out to eat Friday at Big Bowl Noodle Soup (Penn State is just a little simpler-minded). Hiro wants to add flavor to his noodles, so he puts a whole spoonful of crushed red pepper - the kind they lay out at dimsum - into the soup, and he sturggles to eat the noodles with a red, sweaty face, duh. Then he dares us $7 to drink the rest of the soup. Tada, without breaking a sweat, I drink up.
It's spicy stuff, sure, but w/ water built in, silly.
#2: On the bus back Saturday, the juniors decide to play some no limit hold'em, dimes. The first six hands, four pocket kings and one pocket aces was dealt (I had two pair of pocket kings)... and the seniors, me & Todd, proceeded to clean out the juniors. I took Eric on an unsuited jack-two versus a suited eight-three, and we bluffed to the bitter end... even when nothing came up for either of us.. =D Randy stole $12 off a ginormous hand with a full house over two straights and a two pair, and Jansen (who I'd been owning most of the day) took me with a 4-2 over suited K-A. silly straight draws. still, I came up $8.
I haven't collected any of the money from either people, and probably won't, but it's nice to know that it's there, like an old sports magazine at a doctor's office.
Finally, as an aside, what's with some people thinking that I'm in need of a girlfriend? I don't think so. I remember when Robert and Kevin told me I'd be the first to get one, which was true. But now the tables are turned, and I'm one of the few who isn't at all attached, not even remotely. Oh well. Bleh.
