An update of sorts...

So the job situation is still a total clusterfuck...AT&T is a total waste of time, yet I am still compelled to continue with wading through the bullshit. See, I found out what my salary would be; approx 426 per week...that boils down to about 10.60 an hour..! I make that over the course of a good friday and saturday night. So I'm catching shit because I'm thinking of turning it down. My mother on the other hand, seems to think that this is a great opportunity. What my mother fails to realize is that I'm no longer 18 years old, and I have no interest in making a career out of AT&T. If I only had a high school diploma, I'd be all over this; however, I didn't spend 5 years in college to basically become a cable guy. I'm not going to get into the total fuck-up that was my physical...I'm really not in the mood to become really pissed off again...it was THAT bad.
I've also begun the application process at the Darien Police Department. Not to be a police officer, but a record keeper. The pay is pretty good, (just under 18 an hour) it's close, and I like the hours. I'm just playing the waiting game right now. Let's all keep our proverbial fingers crossed.
We've also started to pack up our apartment; we're moving back in with my mother in a few weeks. (her idea) This is being done basically to save money. We'll be able to live there rent-free, thereby saving up cash for a downpayment on a house. It's a means to an end, I guess. Where this house will be is anyone's guess...
Last sunday I received a phone call from Dan, asking me if I was interested in seeing the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, as he had an extra ticket. I won't go into detail as to how he obtained this extra ticket, but I literally jumped at the opportunity. We caught the second show at the Allstate Arena (Rosemont Horizon to us old people). It was one of the most well-produced shows I have ever seen. My only complaint about the whole experience would be the seats at the arena...they're basically designed for people who are 5'3" and that weigh 125 pounds soaking wet. Thankfully, the show didn't totally sell out, and there were open seats that we were able to take up and spread out in. If you ever have the opportunity to see this show, DO IT! Do whatever you have to do short of killing someone to see it. Trust me, you will NOT regret it. Time to get ready for work...yay. I'll be there all night, so come stop by.
