Toilets and their stubborn natures.
Whatever else may happen to you people, don't ever assume that the crust is flushable. While performing a daily ritual, I happened to think to myself, "this is small enough to go down. Why should I take it all the way into the kitchen? After all, the garbage disposal is all the way in the other room and the toilet is right here. Surely it won't matter if I try to send it down the waterfall of my building's plumming system." An hour and a half's worth of plunging convinced me otherwise.
Speaking of plungers, I hate the cheap ones which always want to turn themselves inside out!!! Why the hell can't they be made so as to prevent that from happening?
