As for me, it ended up being a Buy Nothing Day, much to my relief. My family's plans were to go out, and I would have bought something. It didn't happen. We stayed home and had a nice, quiet day watching TV (saw Slumdog Millionaire last night and Cast Away today--two movies I'd wanted to watch for years, but had never gotten around to doing until now), and NO SHOPPING.
