By Vince Lamb, Wastenaw County Elections 2010 Examiner

At 9 A.M., both today and Saturday, hundreds of precinct delegates elected in last week's primary, current office holders, and nominees for local political offices will converge at the Pittsfield Township Administration Building for the county conventions of both major political parties. There, they will elect delegates to their party's state conventions and consider and adopt resolutions to be presented at the state conventions. In addition, the delegates will receive their marching orders to help their party's cause in this November's elections.

Delegates elected to their party's state convention will debate and adopt a platform, nominate candidates for Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Supreme Court Justices, State Board or Education, and university boards.
Details about both conventions at the link in the headline.

Also, I'll be a delegate at the Oakland County Democratic Party Convention this Saturday. I'll have an inside view--of a party convention I'm not covering. Darn. Just the same, I'll keep you all updated on how that turns out.
