[ Canon Point ] : After finding three of the sages post game, but before her battle with Cynthia.
[ History ] : Born the 25th of September, Touko is an only child of a young couple in Nuvema town. She grew up there, making friends with Bianca and Cheren sometime around her 5th birthday, soon becoming fast friends. She attended the local primary and secondary schools, though not long after her 15th birthday she got permission to start her Trainer's journey.
In honour of this, the local Professor dropped a choice of three starter Pokemon off at her house, where she, along with Cheren and Bianca, got their first Pokemon. Her's was a Tepig, that she called Embouh. A pair of battles that she won soon followed, though the one with Bianca absolutely trashed her room, much to her horror. An apology to her mother later, the trio headed off to the lab and then soon to route 1 where they were shown how to catch a Pokemon. It wasn't really anything new that Touko didn't know, but it was part of the whole 'I just became a trainer' thing.
From there they split up and headed to Accumula town, where after visiting the Pokemon Center, Cheren and Touko were witness to a speech about the liberation of Pokemon. After the crowd had dispersed, she had her first run-in with a trainer named N. He claimed to be able to understand her Tepig and Lilipup. One battle later, Touko was left rather confused, though Cheren said that it hardly mattered - she should take the gym challenge. With nothing better to do, she agreed and like Cheren, headed off to Striaton City. The City saw a battle between Bianca and Touko, Touko gaining a Pansage from a man in the Dreamyard, gain a Gym Badge and meet Fennel, a friend of Professor Juniper's. It would also see her first run in with Team plasma - who were quite literally kicking a poor Munna in an effort to get it to make 'dream mist'. Needless to say, they were unsuccessful.
A second run in came not hours later after they 'liberated' a Pokemon from a young girl. While Bianca stayed back to keep an eye on the young lass, Touko and Cheren chased the thieves into the local caves known as Wellspring Caves. A few battles later, they retrieved the stolen Pokemon and returned it.
Nothing major happened until Nacrene city, when as Touko was about to challenge the Gym, N appeared and after some talk, challenged her to a battle. Touko won. N then departed babbling something about needing to find Reshiram, leaving a confused teen even more confused. But, she shrugged it off. As far as she knew, N was just plain weird. She then headed inside and proceeded to take another gym battle and gain a badge. However, things soon spiral out of control and Touko again found herself thrust into chasing after Plasma along side the Castelia Gym Leader, Burgh. A chase through Pinwheel forest later and they reclaim the stolen item - a dragon skull, though not long after, they also meet one of the Seven sages, Gorm. A short talk later and Lenora shows up to take back the recovered skull, and Touko then departs herself, heading for Castelia city, where once there, she bunked down for the night in the local Pokecentre, mind still spinning, wondering what she was getting caught up in. Sometime after, she accidentally caught a Sewaddle, and sent her home to her dad as a gift.
It's here in the Pokecentre that she accidentally gained a Liberty Pass, and found herself, some hours later, the very confused owner of a Victini after kicking Plasma out of the Liberty Gardens. Still confused, she made her way back to Castelia for the night.
The next morning, she goes to challenge the gym, only to meet up with Cheren and Burgh, who asks her to tag along with him to Prime pier as Plasma's shown up again. Touko arrives not long behind the man, only to find that Bianca's had one of her Pokemon stolen - and a young lady by the name of Iris is acting as her bodyguard. Touko agrees to help with the manhunt for them.
Eventually, they find the group in a hide out in front of the gym. A battle latter and Touko, along with the gym leader, storm in - only to meet Ghetsis. A short, very confusing speech later, Binaca's Munna's returned and the bad guys retreat. Bianca makes Iris her bodyguard and heads off, while Burgh tells Touko that he looks forward to the Gym battle. Touko follows after him - only to come up short. What is this Gym and honey walls? An hour later, she finally reaches the man, and a short, but fierce battle's had, resulting in Touko gaining another badge.
Not long out of the Gym, Bianca calls, asking Touko to meet her at the start of route 4 for a battle. Touko tells her in the morning, before heading off to the Pokecenter for the night. The next morning, she makes her way to the gatehouse for a rather easy win. However, not long after parting way with Bianca, she runs into Cheren - and another battle happens, Touko coming out on top. Soon after, they get a call from the Professor, who asks them to headed to Nimbasa. Touko shrugs, and follows after her friend. There at the gatehouse she gets a gift - ten ultra balls. After thanking the lady, she heads back down route four - to investigate the Relic Castle. While there, she gained a Sandile and a Maractus - all of them being sent home, though the Maractus was a present for them. She also gained a fossil. With nothing better to do, she makes a quick side stop back at Nacrene to gain an Archen, promptly nicknaming it Arkensaw.
Anyway, back to Nimbasa she goes, running into Bianca there, who drags her off to see a musical, nevermind that Touko has no interest in them what-so-ever. Either way, she gets the prop case, and on following her friend out, is witness to a family spat, that's solved by the local Gym Leader, Elesa, reassuring Bianca's father that his daughter will be fine. Touko then makes her way to the local pokecenter, where a trainer offers her a trade - a Pansage for a Deino. Touko agrees to the mun's meddling and giving a her Deino trade, saying byebye to her Pansage, and saying hello to Sammy, a level 32 Deino. Who doesn't exactly like his new trainer. Things will not go swimmingly 8D;; Though, before she do0es anything else - it's a week of derping around on the battle subway on the double trains where she forms a battle dou with a young man named Touya. It's what happens to the other protag if you don't choose them.
And then it's off to the Gym, though she doesn't get far when N stalls her, dragging her off to a Ferris-wheel ride where she's told that he is the King of Plasma, leaving Touko in shock, and slight fear at the time. After the ride was over, he stalled her more with a battle, allowing the remaining grunts in Nimbasa to escape, before leaving himself. Dazed and feeling overwhelmed, Touko headed back to the pokecenter, before she tackled the Gym and gained another badge.
After returning to stock up on much needed items, the girl heads to route 5, where after a short battle with Cheren, they both meet Alder and are roped into having a tag battle against a pair of young trainers. After that, Elesa comes along and asks for the drawbridge to be lowered. With a good bye to the Champion and Elesa, Touko heads across, picking up like 40 wing feathers while looking for a Ducklett. She never finds one and much sad is had.
On the other side of the bridge, Clay soon accosts both her and Cheren, asking them to hunt down Team Plasma, who are revealed to be hiding the Cold storage. Clay takes them into his custody, but soon after at the Gym Ghetsis shows up, demanding their release and outnumbered, Clay has no choice but to comply.
After a battle for his badge, Touko spends a few days looking around Driftveil, stocking up on much needed items before heading off to Chargestone cave where Clay arrives to help clear a Galvantula nest from the entrance, and gives Touko the Bulldoze TM as well. After that, she heads in, only to be ambushed by the Shadow Triad, who drag her off to meet N, who tells her that Plasma's ahead in the cave, waiting to test her. A short while later, Touko meets up with Bianca and the Professor, who's researching the Klink, and Bianca is acting as her bodyguard. Touko then heads onwards, only she ends up getting lost in the cave - and the journey's not that easy either, as she also has to battle grunts and the Joltik that stalks her for for a bit.
Eventually, she makes it to the end, where N's wants to see what kind of dream Touko has, in battle. Touko agree's without thinking - and she wins. Not not after, Juniper and Bianca arrive and a verbal skirmish latter sees everyone go separate ways, Touko racing off to the Mistralton Pokecenter, most of her team in dire need of a rest. While in the city, she runs into Cedric Juniper, the Professor's father, and Skyla, the Gym Leader, who mentions going to Celestial tower to see a sick Pokemon. With nothing better to do, Touko follows, though half way there, her mum calls. After that, it's only a matter of making it to the memorial tower to lost Pokemon. While climbing to the top, Touko encounters a very persistent Litwick that eventually joins her team for a while. She calls him Elure. Once they reach the top, Touko's invited to ring the bell - revealing that she is a kind and strong trainer who values Pokemon. Skyla's impressed, but soon leaves and Touko stays for a while, reflecting on her journey thus far.
Though soon enough it's back to the gym, where one seeming easy battle later, Touko comes out with another badge. Outside the gym, N is waiting - and stalls her a bit, talking to her Pokemon before talking about the Light and Dark stones, leaving Touko feeling even more confused than normal. A quick stop at the Centre, and Touko is heading off to Twist Mountain, where she runs into Cheren. This battle's not as easy, but she still managed to come out on top. Not long after winning, Alder appears and after some talk, gives both trainers a copy of HM3 - surf. With this in hand, Touko decides that now's a good time to head home and explore the routes to the west of Nuvema where she gains a Larvesta Egg that and she's just playing chicken with caves. Eventually it's back to Twist Mountain,
... and Touko get's lost, again. Several days later, she finally finds the exit, almost out of supplies, only to find Cheren just finishing up with a Plasma grunt. 'That item' and a 'tower' are mentioned by another grunt, before they take off. After they leave, Touko follows, knowing that Icirrus City's not that far away. Though, before she can get anywhere in the city, Cedric jumps her and info dumps a lot of things about Dragonspiral Tower - where a legend is said to sleep. Confused and in a daze, Touko nods before pushing onto the Centre.
A day or two is spent resting and learning more about the myth, before she tackles the Gym. It's but a piece of cake. Though, after exiting the gym, Touko comes face to face with the Triad again after being reunited with Cheren and Bianca. She's told that Ghetsis wants her to come to Dragonspiral Tower. Though fed up, Touko follows the summons rather unwillingly.
At the base, she briefly runs into Cedric, who confirms that Byrcen and Cheren have gone after a large group of the Plasma grunts. While Bianca stays back, Touko heads in - simply wanting to get to the bottom of the mess that she's wound up in. By the time she reached the third floor, Touko is ready to turn back, not only because of all the dragons - catching a Druddigon along the way - but as her Deino's becoming harder and harder to control due to territorial issues. One ultra ball later, and the young girl pushes on. On reaching the fouth floor, she finds both Brycen and Cheren locked in battle with the grunts. They tell her to keep going and she does reluctanly. As she climbs higher she's forced to deal with grunts - and the fact that something is HAPPENING at the top of the tower, though by the 6th floor, she's stalled by the Sage Giallo, though not for long. Rushing to the top, she finds N - having already befriended Reshiram. Once he leaves, Touko has a mini breakdown, though pulls herself togther when Byrcen and Cheren arrive.
Back down at the entrance, Alder appears to whisk her off to Relic Castle once he's informed of what's happened. Once they get deep enough into the castle, Ghetsis appears and tells than they have come in vain - the Lightstone isn't here. Furious, Touko storms back to the entrance, where at last, the egg that she'd gotten some months ago hatches. It's revealed to be a shiny Larvesta. Touko though doesn't stop to marvel at the rarity, as soon after she's summoned back to Nacrene city - to the museum. Once there, she get's the stone she's after, though no one knows how to awaken the sleeping dragon within. Fed up and tired, Touko retreats back to Iccirus and spends the next week or so training, trying to come to terms with the destiny that's been thrust onto her shoulders. It's impossible, and she realieses that she can only go forward, so she does.
A good night sleeps had at the Pokecentre, and she's then off to Opelucid city. A brief battle's had with Bianca at Tubeline bridge, leaving Touko wishing that she could be as care free as the other.
She only just stepped off when Alder spots her and drags her to where Ghetsis is making a speech about Pokemon liberation. After he's done, and the crowd disperse, Touko's ushered to meet with Iris and Drayden. She follows them back to their home, and there she's told more about Reshiram, and learns that Dryden is the gym leader, and he looks forward to battling her when she's ready. She doesn't hesitate in following the leader to the gym, and the battle is nothing short of spectacular, with Touko coming out the victor, and her Deino only now a few levels from evolving. As she leaves the gym, the Professor arrives though there's no more info on how how to resurrect Reshiram.
Nonetheless, Touko's shown to the route that will take her to Victory Road and onto the League, and she's given a Masterball. With a smile and a thank you, Touko sets off. Though, as she nears the check-gates, Cheren plants himself in her way with a battle that Touko wins of course, and soon enough, she's past all the check gates and onto Victory Road. Where she promptly gets lost. While trying to find her way out, her Deino finally evolves into a Zweilous, and she and her Munna are almost eaten by some wild Deinos that bite everything. Nonetheless, she makes it out in one piece, if in dire need of a shower and swearing off Caves forever.
The next day, she leaves the Centre, and heads up to challenge them, tackling Shuntal, Caitlin, Marshal and Grimsley. Each battle is nothing short of challenge, though Touko makes it through. And then it's onto the Champion's room... only to find N's already defeated him. One head spinning moment later, Touko races after him into the giant castle that's now appeared, determined to stop the man from enacting his, to her, rather crazy ideals.
After the Gym leaders help out against the Sages, Touko presses on, stopping only briefly when the Triad tell her not to fear as she can still access her PC even in the castle, and to talk to a woman called Athena. She does pause however on seeing N's Room - though she pushes past the confusion, She has a man to stop. At the throne Room, she finds Ghetsis, almost giddy with glee that his ambitions are about to come true. With a forboding feeling, Touko races in, and is soon thrust into a battle with Zekrom when the Lightstone reacts to Reshiram.
She manages to catch the Pokemon, and soon after is thrust into battle with N.
The battle is nothing short of explosive and spectacular with Touko giving everything she has to defeat him. And even then, it's not over as Ghetsis soon forces her into another battle. This one is hard - and harsh - his Hydreigon giving her the most trouble - and Touko noting that it's rather feral, but eventually, she comes out on top thanks to both Reshiram and her Pokemon believing in her. It's a sobering win, as soon after N vanishes on the back of Zekrom.
Exhusted by the battle and dizzy from everything, Touko soon returns home to come comes to terms with everything... Only to find that Looker is there some mornings after, and after thrusting a fishing rod into her hands, he tells her that her jobs not yet done. She has to track down the sages. Touko agrees as she was going to go explore Unova more anyways. She manages to track down three of the sages [Along with leveling up her pokemon] and had only just received three Orbs from the Shadow triad and told that Ghetsis wanted her to have them on Marvelous bridge when she's thrust into Vatheon, soaking wet.
She's not happy, and neither are her pokemon.
[ Personality ] : As a silent Protag, it falls to the player of the game to fill in the blanks with the Main Character, and this is my interpretation of Touko.
At first glance, Touko is straight forward - Hardy, outgoing and single-minded in her goal to be the best trainer that she can be and sometimes overeager, but she always means well. Growing up without a sibling might leave one to think that she'd been spoiled, but she wasn't. If anything, Touko was taught the value of hard work and to be kind to pokemon. She wasn't always like that - once she pulled her mother's Herdier's tail and another time she taunted her dad's Pidove and tried to paint it bright yellow. That behavior was swiftly dealt with - and the little girl was almost bitten more than once for her cruel ways, too. Eventually, she got the message that one does not taunt pokemon. It helped that Time Out was used.
By the time her adventure time came, Touko was more than eager to head out into the world, though it was tempters by the knowagle that pokemon aren't always cute and nice and sometimes, yes, they do die [mostly from illnesses]. But still, She doesn't allow it to stop her. Loss is a part of life - she saw that when her dad's Leavanny passed away due to an illness. It didn't stop Touko from bawling her eyes and saying it was her fault as she'd been playing with it out in the snow all the time in winter. Her dad told her that the Leavanny would one day come back to be with them again - and Touko's always believed that the Yamask her dad brought back from the Desert Resort is that Leavanny. A little creepy, yes, but she was like... eight years old when her dad brought back the Yamask.
Touko doesn't hesitate once her mind's made up - as seen when she's presented with the first pick of the starters, going straight for the water type, Oshawott and calling him Daiken. She's not the most creative in her names at times, as seen later when she nicknames her Victini Vikky. But, poor nicknames aside, Touko loves her pokemon, and would do anything for them. They are her partners, not just in battle, but in everything she does. She does have a strange sense of what is cuddly though, preferring to call her Hydreigon cuddly over a fluffy Lilipup or so.
She'd lay her life down for them, and almost did at several points - most noticeably in Chargestone cave where she risked her life to free her Herdier from a nest of Joltiks and then Tynamos. While she was able to recall him, for a while, she moped, doubting her skill as a trainer - doubting the bonds that she's worked so hard to forge with her Pokemon. It didn't help that she'd been shoved onto a path that she really, really did not want to be on.
Touko does not see herself as a hero, even if Zekrom recognizes her as one - and Touko's fought hard to gain the great Pokemon's trust, proving herself over and over again. She's not a hero, just a trainer who's trying to do the right thing, ok? She just did what any other trainer should have and stopped N - Ghetsis's - plans for taking Pokemon away from people.
It's inability to realise that she is a hero - that it's her bravery, her selflessness and her courage against the odds that keep Zekrom by her side. Also, the huge does of modesty helps, too, and the kindness that she shows to everyone around her. And while it didn't happen over night, her kindness and dedication also won her the trust and respect of her Pokemon and it's always on going, especially with her Hydreigon.
Touko has that potential to become the Champion of Unova, but for all her bravery, selflessness and courage, Touko is still only barely 16 years old, and still reeling from everything that's happened. Even tracking down the Sages with Looker's help - It's not something that she wants to do. She just wants to have fun, finish her travels around Unova - and then travel the rest of the world - she wants to be a journalist, not catching bad guys. She also wants to go back to the Celestial Tower and get a proper headstone for her dad's old Leavanny.
But, she knows that finding the Sages is the right thing to do - to help out, even if she feels it's unfair that she's been asked to do this. As much as she likes battling, she'd also like to start to focus on the future and possibly breed pokemon. Pokemon battles are cool, but unless she becomes a Champion or a Gym Leader, she can't exactly live off the winnings, and while that would be nice, if it happens, it happens.
Touko has her flaws of course and the most noticeable of these is that she has NO sense of direction. She managed to get lost a number of times along the way, resulting in some cold nights in the desert and in caves. She hates caves - and would never willingly go in one again if she had her way. She can get rather indecisive about things, and she's confused rather easily. Frustration when she doesn't understand something happens too - and throughout her journey, her main source of this was N and his cryptic words. The fact that he picked her to be the hero confused her. Hero? What hero. She is SO not hero material.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
+ She's a pokemon trainer and has some pretty powerful pokemon on her team.
+ She knows how to handle dragons when it comes to Pokemon - See her Hydreigon and Zekrom.

[ Other Important Facts ] :

POKEMON TEAM. Her bag somehow has a lot of things she found on her journey, too.
[ Sample ] :
"Vikki. settle down and let me dry you."
"Tii. VIC!"
Touko laughed as the hyperactive Victini tried to climb all over her and not stay still. While she was still soaking wet, the towel that a local had given her was being used to try and dry the fire-psychic type, who, she guessed, was complaining loudly about being wet. Behind her, Daiken was enjoying the water with several happy grunts while Ignita, the shiny Volcarona, gave off steam not far above. "Vikki, the sooner you hold still, the sooner I get you dry."
"Vi!"
A roll of her eyes and then the towel was wrapped around the little pokemon, almost cocooning it. And then the vigorous drying commenced, earning protesting squeals. Though. Touko knew if her pokemon didn't want to be dried, it wouldn't allow itself to be subjected to this. 'Oh please. I'm not hurting you, you sook."
The pouting face that the Victini gave had her breaking into peels of laughter. Yep. He was a sook alright.
