1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Depends on the size and shape of the present and my ambition and supplies.
2. Real tree or artificial? Artificial, but would like to try out a real tree some day.
3. When do you put up the tree? After Thanksgiving, usually on or after December 1.
4. When do you take down the tree? Sometime in the beginning of January. My mom keeps hers up until late February or something.
5. Do you like eggnog? Only homemade! YUM!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hmm...I dunno. Looking back now, probably the Christmas ornaments from my grandma every year. Back then, though, I'm sure my favorite changed every year.
7. Do you have a nativity scene? My parents have one, and when I was little, I was playing with the nice porcelain guys. I accidentally knocked two together and broke them--I thought only one of them's head fell off, but it turned out TWO did. I realized I was wrong when I put the African wiseman's head on Joseph. Oops. Now, I have a little-all-one-piece scene from Chris's mom from last year.
8. Hardest person to buy for? Chris or my dad
9. Easiest person to buy for? Mom.
10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Clothes my mom has picked out for me or VHS tapes that I'd gotten in JUNE and watched since. Or a box of PopTarts.
11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail homemade cards, I gotta get crackin' on that one.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Any traditional Christmas movie!
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Once December has started.
14. Have you ever "re-gifted" a Christmas present? No, if it's that bad, I usually get rid of it.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Desserts--cookies, pies, eggnog...
16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Both--colored are pretty, but so are the clear ones. The clear ones are nice and simple.
17. Favorite Christmas Song? LOVE Christmas songs---but AFTER December starts.
18. Travel for Christmas or stay at home? Travel to grandma's, only a little ways away--couple hours.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers? Sometimes...Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph...did I get them all?
20. Angel on the tree top? No. Bow, star, but no angel. They are usually kinda creepy.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning! Although, it depends on when family Christmas's are. With parents or with Chris, it's Christmas morning.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Over eager stores putting up Christmas stuff at Halloween and playing Christmas music beginning in November. The commercialization of Christmas, etc...
23. What I love most about Christmas? The feel of Christmas Eve and morning, the magic in the air. Turning on just the Christmas lights. Being with people I love.
