Longtail Studios Rocks!
Friday, a Battle of the Bands between various video game studios in Quebec City took place with the likes of Activision, Ubisoft, Beenox and 5 or 6 others. I was originally going to audition for the band (and following our little party on Thursday, people said I should have), but didn't have the time to be a part of it.
The Longtail band won easily, almost doubling every other band's scores! Apparently almost no one else was playing on Expert like most of our players were. There were some verbal grumblings from the various people there saying that we were "a bunch of geeks". Uh, hey guys... we all work in the game industry. We're ALL geeks.
I would like to set up another competition between the game companies, but this time with a different game. Nah, a different SPORT.
I give you... Chess Boxing.
