(no subject)
Hi, so, an update! I've been pretty lax about it of late, but part of that has been that I've been keeping myself busier. Good in a way!
I've decided that dressmaking should be my hobby. Unfortunately, I don't have a sewing machine, so everything I make, I do by hand. It does involve a lot more work, but in a way it's also more rewarding. At the moment I'm making a dress. It'll be made from blue poplin with red cherries all over it. I've been collecting bits and pieces of fabric that are on special and some patterns here and there, so I'll eventually build up some sort of stock.
I should get my student payment next monday, so I'm going to buy a laptop out of that, though I'm going to have to see if someone can loan me a little extra to cover it because I really do need it as soon as possible.
On another note, my cupcake set arrived today. It's really, really seriously amazing. I love it so much I can't even begin to express it. \\o
I got the latest Black Jewels book today and some other random ones from the library. Not at all bad. If you like fluff, you should check out The Luxe. It's pleasant enough for a few hours reading. =)
I bought a new kettle today, but it doesn't work, so it has to be taken back. It's red! Woo. Our old one was one of those cheap white ones, so the plastic had started to yellow and rot around the edges, but no one else is that great at taking initiative, unfortunately. I meant to go and see Confessions of a Shopaholic, but my computer clock likes to reset itself and I left later than I thought I did.
I've narrowed down a lot of my choices for Uni, and I really am leaning toward International Studies. I've researched it a little and while it's not really exactly the most practicle thing in the universe, something I find interesting is probably more important. I'll likely apply for early entry too, and hope I get it.
I've gotten back into Lusternia, simply because distracting myself is what I seem to do when I'm under stress. I'm good at it too. >.>
Things are going fairly well with David and I. We're looking at ways for him to come over to spend a little time while I'm still at school. It might make a nice break. I also got a pansy and for some reason it's now named after his Lusternian character, because I'm a dork. >.>
I'm highly addicted to Coheed and Cambria. I am totally naming my firstborn Cambria. ttly awesome!
