The List!
A friend demanded I post one of these, to help explain why I'm usually single. So here we are. The list of things I want (demand) in a partner:
1. They understand internet culture.
2. They have, at least once in their life, gone to some description of games/comic/sci-fi convention.
3. Gets hard for River Tam.
4. Plays a MUD.
5. Has a life goal.
6. Doesn't work as a trolley boy.
7. Knows and loves steampunk.
8. Reads good fantasy (as in, doesn't just masturbate to Forgotten Realms.)
9. Doesn't think sex is the defining aspect of the relationship.
10. Cares about the environment.
11. Doesn't smoke.
12. Doesn't think partying/cars/constant visits to the 'mates' is how to have a good time.
13. Likes Final Fantasy.
14. Likes Firefly, the 4400, Heroes.
15. Is old enough to remember Seaquest and Fraggle Rock.
16. Likes anime. Decent anime.
17. Likes alternative music.
18. Has a sense of humour.
19. Understands the concept of life being for living, not being for slaving away at a job, a family, a house, a car, that has no value for the future, that is meaningless, pointless and to most people who realise this, boring. I don't care if I live on next to minimum wage, as long as I have a roof over my head and I can be happy with someone. Money isn't important. It only buys material possessions, it's not what makes us who we are.
