My guitar instructor got me into a little gig this Saturday. About seven of his students including myself will be playing at a local coffee shop. The funny thing is.... this was promoted so much that 100 or more people will be at this little place, and it will be a riot. The flier for this thing is cool, mainly because it has my name on it. I believe I am the "headlining" act. I will be playing Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana, Satan Doll by various Jazz musicians from the 50s, and Last Dance with Mary Jane by Tom Petty.
This will be a good chance to get my sound out there once more. Last Monday I played my song (The Drama Has Been Acted Out) I created for Music Theory for the class. The teacher was in disbelief. He said "Damn man, you can play." That made my ego go way up. The entire class loved it. I brought my guitar back on Wednesday and played the song again with the teacher playing a piano rhythm section. In short, the song kicks fucking ass. My 35 classmates and music theory teacher say I am a damn good guitar player. It's time to record a demo. I need to get some people together and record this shit stat.
