Kicked into escape velocity
My, how one week can change EVERYTHING...
Last Thursday I found out that I will soon be joining the ranks of the unemployed. I have to admit, this is an odd and not overly enjoyable feeling. Fortunately, they didn't wait until next week to tell me that I was going to be fired. That would have been really bad, since ivy_lee and I were about a week from closing on a house...
Therefore, we have decided to use this opportunity to relocate. We were planning on moving to Kent, OH for Ivy to go to grad school at Kent State in a few years. So, we decided that we would move up a little earlier than initially anticipated.
So, probably around the end of next month, after more than a decade in the 'burg, I will be gone. We will be back for our wedding, and hopefully to visit at least occasionally.
