Summary: AU all human. Buffy leaves Riley for Angel.

Note: the song is Unfaithful by Rihanna; it would help if you have seen the video. This is Buffy/Riley at the start, but it ends as B/A,
Buffy was laying on the bed staring at the ceiling when a song caught her attention.
//Story of my life
Searching for the right
But it keeps avoiding me
Sorrow in my soul
Cause it seems that wrong
Really loves my company//
She looked at Riley from her place on the bed as the song placed softly in background the lyrics of which sent her spinning.
//He's more than a man
And this is more than love
The reason that the sky is blue
But clouds are rolling in
Because I'm gone again
And to him I just can't be true//
She got up from the bed and started gathering her clothing, the song still playing.
//And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying//
His face was filled with pain at fact their relationship was falling apart.
//I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
Everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
I don't wanna hurt him anymore

She finished dressing and went to fix her hair. His eyes slowly following her.

As I'm doing my hair
Preparing for another date
A kiss up on my cheek
He's here reluctantly
As if I'm gonna be out late
I say I won't be long
Just hanging with the girls
A lie I didn't have to tell
Because we both know
Where I'm about to go
And we know it very well//

“Riley, I’m just going to be with Willow and Faith,” she said holding the phone to her ear the lie falling easily from her lips as of so many times before.
“It’s a girl’s night out, nothing to worry about,” she said putting on Lips gloss as she spoke.
She heard the door bell ring, “Listen that would the girls now. I gotta go, Bye,” she said not returning his “I love you” and simply hanging up.
Going to the door, she smiled at the person on the other side. “Hi, Baby,” she said as she kissed him.

Both pulling out the memory, it had made Riley worried when she just hung up, it made he sad when he found out she had lied to him. Buffy looked away from him and simply continue getting ready to leave. The song still playing making her pause.

She turned to him and said her stained she never wanted to hurt him, but “Riley, I think we should break up.”

I might as well take a gun and put it to his head
