First brought to my attention by my dear friend
shttrdparadigm, I present to you
this. I think it's a great read.
In summary: This is a letter written by a Baptist Pastor (I believe that's the correct term? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he did state that we went to "pastorate"...) addressed to a friend of his and his wife's, named Louise. She stated that, "My brother hates God because God made him gay, and he knows he is going to hell, and I do, too, for that is what the Bible says." Dismayed by this, the pastor found himself quite speechless, and his wife replied, "No one will go to hell who puts his faith in Jesus Christ." The pastor decided to take a better look at what he knew about homosexuality, and do more research into the matter.
The letter at the link above is the result of his research. It's very informative, and tells a lot more about homosexuality - especially in the sense of what the bible says - than I knew. He cites psychologists and historians and noted theologians.
Feel free to let me know what you think, on either side of the discussion.
