Randomness FTW
I was just relating to Listy that while I can kinda sorta make scrambled eggs, it occurred to me a few months ago (at my first successful result), that when I was a kid, I would watch my mom make them. She would crack the eggs into a glass measuring cup, then whip them with a fork, and then put them in the pan. At which point, I would walk away because it got boring, but when I came back... scrambled eggs!
So my first (several) unsuccessful attempts consisted of my putting some egg whites in a glass measuring cup, whipping them with a fork (though there's no yolk to break, I know, I know), then putting them in the pan. And proceeding to poke at it curiously, wondering why I only ever ended up with a flat round mass of egg, instead of scrambled eggs.
... Perhaps this is something I shouldn't have shared. LOL
