The first thing Wheeljack's optics focused on was a small school of fishes. Well, that explained the tickling sensation, as they had apparently been bumping into his helm fins whilst feeding. The tiny creatures scattered as the giant rock they were cleaning organic debris from began to move.
"Sorry, little guys, gotta go," Wheeljack chuckled softly as he levered himself up. In the resulting flicker from his fins, something floated past, the lights strobing eerily against it. As his processor identified the dismembered human arm, he realised what the scavengers had been cleaning from him. A rush of horror-disgust-sadness-panic blazed through him, and he launched himself from the murky waters onto the riverbank and purged his tank. Crawling a distance from the pool of half-processed energon, he sent out a Beacon-pulse and lay venting heavily, trying to calm his racing Sparks.
Wait...what?
Scanning nervously, he saw that, yes, there was a another Spark, residing in the chamber, alongside his own. Not a Sparkling by any means, either. It was a fully-developed individual.
~Wh-who...?~ Wheeljack asked inside his mind. Maybe the self-destruct code had damaged his processors...
~Nope. Yer functionin' just fine, 'Jacks,~ a familiar voice said, the second Spark throbbing its amusement.
~Oh, slag...'Hide?!~
~Yep.~
