Philadelphia Phillies win World Series
So, many of you may or may not know that tonight Philadelphia's baseball team broke their own curse of sorts.
For manymanymany years, it was an unwritten law that no building could be higher than the William Penn statue on the top of city hall. Then one year, as the law was not actual law, builders constructed taller buildings.
Since then the Phillies haven't won one World Series.
This year the clamor over this was so great that the Comcast Building (now the tallest), put a replica of the statue on it's building.
And then the Phillies won.
