Time for feeling old!

I've read it a few times in the past and was kind of amazed how much I can recall even though I know some of it wasn't my generation. Then again I guess this happens when your a throw-back born to baby boomers and raised properly!

[X] I've been to a drive-in movie theater. ( I was once but it's been ages since then, however come spring we'll be going. The little town I'm from, that we finally moved back to still has one open!)

[ ] I saw the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show.
[ ] I voted for (or could have) Ronald Reagan.

[X] I was in a Christmas pageant in public school.

[ ] I remember what I was doing when John Kennedy died.
[ ] I used to watch Star Trek during its original run.
[ ] I know what 45 and 33-1/3 describes.

[X] I've ridden in cars that didn't have seat belts. (Cars had seat belts growing up!? If they did I sure as hell didn't notice them!)

[ ] I used to watch Romper Room.

[ ] I belonged to Future Homemakers of America.

[ ] I've gone to an Elvis Presley concert.

[X] I own/used to own an 8-track player. (Parents did, used to listen to it as a child too!)

[ ] I used to wear a hat, doilie, or handkerchief on my head in church.

[ ] I've bought a McDonald's cheeseburger for 18 cents.

[X ] would go to sleep while or just after watching Johnny Carson. (Parents watched it growing up, so I got to watch it too. I loved the swami act he did!)

[X] I have watched a black and white television. (Yup, it was the one in the kitchen growing up. Parents replaced it with a color TV just before we moved to Florida when I was 5)

[ ] I have/used to have a leisure suit.

[ ] I've been to a tent revival.

[ ] I attended Woodstock.

[X] I've been to a state fair and looked at the animal barns. (I lived in Florida, before the fair became about rides and such we used to go. Look at the animals and buy all kinds of home-made goodies!)

[X] I can/could spin a hula-hoop around my middle. (was pretty good at it too!)

[ ] I've been spanked at school by a teacher/principal.

[ ] I've been to a Cher concert.

[ ] I watched The Sonny and Cher Show during its original run.

[ ] I looked forward to hearing Guy Lombardo play "Auld Lang Syne."

[X] I called adults "Sir" or "Ma'am." (I still do. Then again I still say "thank you" when someone holds a door for me)
[ ] I've had a smallpox vaccination.

[ ] I used to watch Dick Clark on American Bandstand

[X] I've been to a rodeo. ( Kissimmee still has one too for that matter! Silver Spurs Rodeo is much funs!)

[ ] I've competed in a rodeo.
[ ] I scheduled my evenings around Dynasty.

[X] I've sold Girl Scout cookies. (Between going door to door threw about 10 neighborhoods, going into mom's work because she wouldn't do it for me.. I always sold over 100+ boxes)
[ ] I am/was in a fraternity/sorority.

[ ] I've eaten breakfast at a Sambo's Restaurant.
[ ] I had a poster of Farrah Faucett on my wall/door.
[ ] I had a crush on Ricky Nelson.
[ ] I watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon.

[X] I had an aluminum Christmas tree and a color-wheel lamp. (Grandma did, used to love it because it was much colorful then my mom's state-of-the-art plastic tree)
[X] I have/had a fondue pot and use/used it. (I have mine and my mothers from the 70's or so. It's day-glow yellow)

[X] I've used a rotary phone. ( They had other kinds before the 1990's?! Hell my parents had them, my family had them...)

[ ] I remember when African-Americans were called "colored people" in polite company.
[ ] I've been to West Berlin before German reunification.

[ ] I had a paper credit card.

[X] I played with a Water Wiggle. ( Weird, Weird toys)

[ ] I danced all night to Donna Summer and Whitney Houston.
[X] I've driven/ridden in a Pacer.
[X] I've stayed up all night playing Risk. (Never play my dad, the man always wins)

[ ] I saw the original Star Wars movie in a theater.
[ ] I've taken group showers with members of my junior/senior high school class.
[ ] I remember when HIV was called HTLV-IV.

[X] I watched The Simpsons when it was a short on The Tracy Ulman Show. (As she likes to say "I gave birth to the yellow people")

[X] I had to install MS-DOS on my computer before I installed Windows.  (I had an Apple IIGS, it didn't even HAVE an OS! You had to put the diskes in!)
[X] I have/had a Sony Walkman. (And still do)

[ ] I modeled my hair and clothes on people in Beverly Hills 90210.

[X] I've played PacMan. (On an arcade machine, in the skating rink!)

[ ] I (used to) put on a suit and tie/dress to go shop at the downtown department store.

[ ] I saw Top Gun in the theater more than six times.
[X] I've read Rushdie's The Satanic Verses.

[ ] I've used a Jane Fonda workout video.
[X] I remember when Michael Jackson was black.
[X] I know who shot J.R.

[X] I owned a pet rock. (Mom gave me her orignal one, it's now living safely in the hope chest again)

[X] I have/had a Betamax VCR. ( Hell I remember the VHS/Betamax war)
[X] I had "all the way" sex before I was married and had to keep it secret.
[ ] I burned a bra and/or draft card.
[ ] I've ridden in a double-decker bus.

[X] I've ridden in the back window of my parents' car. (It was the only place to ride on those long trips upto PA)
[ ] I've edged the grass in a yard with hand clippers.
[X] I had a television aerial outside my house.
