Augh!
Nothing seems to be working with breaking puppy of the "GOTTA CHEW!" phase.
After 2-3 weeks he's not doing much better no matter how much we distract him and replace whatever he managed to get ahold of with the proper toys. We've even tried the bitter apple spray but it doesn't seem to affect him.
He's really to large to crate train (aside from the fact we can't afford the $150 crate) and I'm not a huge fan of it for larger dogs to begin with. On top of the fact there is a non-crate trained dog in the house and I don't feel it's fair to crate one and leave my parents dog run freely threw the house.
So does ANYONE have ANY advise on what we can do to break the "Chewie Monster" thing thats currently going on?
Perhaps a home-made "no chew" spray? Proven things that work? Muzzles?! (J/K)
Thanks much for any suggestions guys!
