As a writer, I understand that you need tips to help you get better. You need someone to explain if things are wrong, and help you make your stories better. But there is a fine line in helping someone and just being mean and flaming them.
I got flamed a few weeks ago for my ScreamShipping story. Apparently, Yami Bakura was OOC and it had too much romance in it....I never had him say he like Serenity, but that is beside the point. The person states to me that she read it cause she thought it would be bad, and just wanted to laugh at it. And she also claimed that her thoughts were right.
She really does not know what the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh intened for his characters. And it's called Fanfiction for a reason. Not everyone is going to bow to her ideas, and write as she says to.
Looking at other stories, I notice she flames just as harsh to them, as she did me. And some of these are new writers. What is the point of hurting them so bad? It hurts to be flamed like that, and can make people stop writing. And who knows, with practice that person could have been a amazing writer...
And now I really need to stop ranting...I just, people should not tear other people down like that.
