So...I am really looking forward to Fall...

Sitting here, enjoying my morning cup of coffee and figured it would be prudent to do a LJ update. Keep meaning to do one about the Zimmerman case but that is one that is going to take a while and my schedule is making that highly prohibitive. I am on call this week as a co-worker recently had a baby and I agreed to switch on call weeks to allow the first baby bonding process to continue.
If you have been following the news, you may see that may have come back to bite me in the ass. I am hoping, praying even, for a real quite week of on call for the remainder of this week. I have my plate full as is and I would really like to not have any more placed on my stack if I can help it.
In other news. Someone has expressed interest in buying VESI from me. Possibly everything including the inventory. Not sure how I feel about that yet. Still, he's been asking for a while now and despite my initial warnings about the risk involved and the fact this Obama economy is still pretty bad he seems interested.
So I told him I will take time to assess my accounts and inventory and get back to him.
We shall see.
But yes, I am soooo looking forward to Fall. This hot weather is no good.
I understand Dragon Con is no longer affiliated with the pedophile anymore. Well good. I've been speaking out against Dragon Con (for that and other reasons) since 2003 and despite being po pooed by quite a few people as not knowing what I was talking about, suddenly in the past few years that simple fact I kept highlighting finally started to get some attention.
Still, I won't give them any money. Screw me over twice in a row see if I forget....mumble mumble.
GenCon I think just happened. The amount of conventions have died off greatly in the past several years. Same for gaming stores. Which makes demoing your gaming products all that harder. Not that Dragon Con was a gaming convention by any stretch of the imagination. No, at one time it was but now it's "Look at ME!" convention. GenCon and Origins, now those were gaming conventions. Worth the price of a booth and tickets and then some.
