Today I associated "Ceramics on Wheels" with clay and bowl making..boy was I wrong! Now I know pottery involved the clay usage but I thought ceramic did too! So as we go into this classroom for the Ceramics on Wheels demonstration I was all excited that the kids and I would get to use the spiny things to make ceramics! Anywho when we walked in I found sun catchers on the tables with stain paint. THAT IS NOT CERAMICS! I did color by number sun catchers all throughout my childhood and never once did I try to pass them off as pieces of art (or ceramics for that matter) sheesh! people now a days I tell you! So now in my two weeks of camp I have made a magnet and a picture frame sun catcher to take with my to college! The kiddies were better today than usual, less crying more smiles and twirling around! Mr. Squishy was a big hit and it makes me really happy to know that simple things amuse the heck out of kids. I invented Mr. Squishy earlier this week out of a piece of rubber tire..its the cutest yet scariest thing to see a group of 10 four year olds running in the playground after me going "we want mr. squishy!" freaks I tell you!

Throughout the day at camp I tell myself things in my head such as: 1) stop flirting with the 15 year old boys, its not good for anyones health! 2)if you are going to stare at the hot counselor from the other group who you vow you would be perfect with, at least have the bawls to talk to him one day! 3)useless people that are all talk and no action when it comes to being nice to the kids and taking care of them and entertaining them shoulndt work in a summer camp!! 4)no matter how crappy and hot you feel, always smile because when you are sad so are the kids and finally 5) woo look at the bees fly!
