Blood, lots of sweat, but (thankfully), no tears.

First day of classes yesterday, and hoo boy it was one hell of a day.

Started off the day with Glassblowing at 10:50. I expected it to be an introductory class, but as soon as we were shown around the glassblowing hut, they threw us right into it. Like, I totally gathered glass, heated it, marvered it, everything. We were just practicing some simple things, but honestly, I was surprised to work with MOLTEN GLASS the first day of class.

BTW, molten glass is FUCKING HOT. Like insta-sunburn when you're near the furnace or using tools on hot glass.

Then I had Stained Glass at 1:40. I almost instantly cut myself on a shard of glass on the table, lol. Then we learned how to cut glass and talked about the room and all that good stuff. Have to finish some design ideas for Thursday.

At 6 I scheduled to go back to the glassblowing hut for some blow time; I made my first blown glass but it didn't go so well. Shrug. So I practiced some other stuff some more.

Senior capstone at 7pm: Preparation for the Art Professional. That class is going to be intense; we're working on our portfolios, learning to present everything professionally, and doing stuff to prepare our own exibition next semester. Need to dig through my trunk to find some work to bring in to class tomorrow.

THEN Pie and Lauren kinda dragged me to the bubble. But really by dragged I mean they were going to my place to pick up my roomie/Pie's boyfriend John, and I figured I'd go with. So we worked out for about an hour. My legs are sore.

Lots of presidential stuff to get into the swing of. Our first meeting is tomorrow night, but I'm really not worried about that. It will be short, though we have some important business to attend to. I'm nervous about next week's meeting, which will be the first one with the Freshmen.

I want to invite Alex to that meeting to hang out on campus before he moves, but I don't have a reliable way to contact him. I need to make some money ASAP to get my cell bill taken care of, but most likely it's not going to be turned back on until next month. Sigh.

AND my computer is still down. I really need to get that all figured out...
