Darkseid was expecting Tess to contact him. It's been a while since she's tried to get answers out of him, and it seemed to him she was rather overdue. It wasn't with much surprise, therefore, that he received her summons to an apartment in Metropolis.

He arrives punctually, locating the apartment with ease and giving the door a couple brief knocks when he does. He assumes Tess is already inside.
