Miscellaneous Nerdery

Two things, my fellow nerds:

Last night I installed the latest build of Compiz with many features from Beryl merged back in. It's called Compiz Fusion. Anyway, this piece of software has come a long way since Beryl 0.2. Anybody with a respectable Linux distro and 3D acceleration should put their hands on this.

Secondly, Guitar Hero Encore Rocks the 80s is golden, and Harmonix released the full set list! Reproduced below are the songs previously unannounced, and you can read the full list at Gamespot.
  • "Caught in a Mosh" (as made famous by Anthrax)
  • "Balls to the Wall" (as made famous by Accept)
  • "Electric Eye" (by Judas Priest)
  • "Los Angeles" (as made famous by X)
  • "Police Truck" (as made famous by Dead Kennedys)
  • "We Got the Beat" (as made famous by The Go Go's)
  • "(I Think I'm) Turning Japanese" (as made famous by Vapors)
  • "Seventeen" (as made famous by Winger)
  • "Because, it's Midnite" (by Limozeen)
LOL! Limozeen! All in all, this game boasts some of the best metal and pop rock out of the best decade ev4r. On store shelves July 24th! You should get bonus points if you wear a teased out wig and tight jeans when you buy it.

linux, guitar hero encore, compiz, video games, computers
